A former teacher in Shelton is accused of kissing a 17-year-old high school student.
Kensington resident George Perduta, 57, was charged with disorderly conduct on Tuesday.
The charges against Perduta come after police said he went out to dinner with an unidentified female Shelton High School student in April.
The victim told police that Perduta asked her “about their relationship status during dinner, which made her uncomfortable.”
When Perduta went to kiss the victim on lips, she told police that she moved her head and he kissed her on the forehead.
Perduta was released on a $500 bond. He is expected to be arraigned at Derby Superior Court on Sept. 22.
