People needing a ride to the University of Connecticut football game this weekend can hitch a ride with CTfastrak.
The bus rapid transit system will be offering rides right to Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford for all Saturday University of Connecticut football games, according to an announcement on Thursday.
Fans can take “specially marked CTfastrak buses” from the Travelers on Main Street in Hartford between 10:15 and 11:15 a.m. on game day. Trains leave every 15 minutes.
“The CTfastrak football express buses will enter the stadium grounds via a special entrance and drop off football fans close to the stadium entrance,” Cttransit said in a release on Thursday.
Officials said all military personnel, current members or veterans, can show their military identification and ride for free to this Saturday’s game. The offer will also apply on Sept. 2 when UConn plays Navy.
UConn plays Army at Rentschler Field at noon.
For those military personnel, but still riding on game day trains, the price is $1.50 per person and $0.75 for seniors and disabled. An all-day pass is $3.
