BRIDGEPORT, CT (WFSB) -

On Thursday, police in Bridgeport, with the help of neighbors, were able to arrest a man accused of breaking into a home on Quinlan Avenue.

Police said at a little after 4 p.m., police responded to the reported break in on Quinlan Avenue near Gilman Street.

Officers set up a perimeter, as they were told by witnesses that the suspects were still inside of the home.

Descriptions of two males were given by numerous witnesses who saw them running throughout the neighborhood.

Police were directed to the area of Garden Terrace, Gilman Street, Midland Street and Courtland Street.

With the help of neighbors, and K-9 officers, police were able to locate one suspect in a rear yard on Garden Terrace.

He was identified as 29-year-old Michael Fernandez, of Oxford, and was arrested.

The second suspect was identified but police were not able to catch him.

All property taken in the burglary was recovered from the suspects and returned to its rightful owners, police said.
