Traffic delays are expected after a water main break in the area of Farmington Avenue in Bristol on Friday.
According to the Bristol Water Company, an unidentified contractor damaged a water main while installing new poles near the Home Depot.
One property is without water service because of the break, water company officials.
Traffic will be reduced from two lanes to one on Farmington Avenue in that area, so crews can excavate the road.
“We would like to ask anyone that normally travels Farmington Avenue to seek additional routes in efforts to decrease delays in the area. We thank all of our customers for their patience and understanding during this emergency construction,” Bristol Water Company posted on its Facebook page.
