HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

After Hartford parents said they want a school bus stop moved after a shooting, a bullet was found lodged into a school window frame.

Eyewitness News first reported this story on Tuesday, and on Thursday learned that there were staff members inside of the school at the time of the shooting.

Sources inside the school said they were right near the window when they heard gunshots.

Thankfully there were no students getting off the school bus on Tuesday when the shooting happened on Vine Street, in the North End neighborhood in Hartford.

A man in his 30s was shot in the leg, but a bullet ended up in the window frame of the Thirman L. Milner School.

In a statement, Hartford Public Schools said "As a matter of protocol, we do not comment on our security procedures. The incident occurred after school dismissal. Once we became aware of the incident, we followed all emergency procedures and are working cooperatively with Hartford police."

Parents said at first they wanted the bus stop moved, which takes care of Milner students but is also a drop-off and pick-up for students who go to the CREC schools.

Some parents said they have noticed more police in the area, which they said hope continues.
