Folks will be firing up the griddles on Saturday.
It's National Pancake Day, according NationalDayCalendar.com.
The mixture of flour, baking powder, eggs and other ingredients has been a popular breakfast, or dinner, for centuries.
National Geographic said that as far back as the Stone Age people mixed a crude flour with water and baked it on a hot rock.
The method has since been refined to include a variety of toppings, including jams, fruit, syrup, chocolate chips or meat.
