Police in Waterbury conducted a street racing crackdown operation over the weekend.
They said they had about 22 officers working, including undercover detectives.
It was all in response to repeated complaints of cars racing down city streets.
Police said they issued 82 misdemeanor summons for racing/being a spectator to a prohibited race. A number of citations were also issued.
Four vehicles were towed.
They did not release numbers on how many people were arrested or information about their identities.
