Residents in one Bristol neighborhood will experience discolored after a main break on Monday.
The water main break was reported in the Jerome Avenue area between Coolidge and Mix streets. Water company officials said crews were working to repair the break and service will be shut down around 12:30 p.m.
The repairs were expected to take up to four hours to complete, water company officials said.
Following the repairs, customers will see discolored water and should run a cold water faucet until the discoloration clears,” officials said.
Customers are being told not to do laundry while the discoloration persists.
“The Bristol Water Department appreciates your patience during this unforeseen emergency,” Bristol Water Department posted on its Facebook page.
