A man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries on Monday after he was struck by a vehicle in Meriden.
Police said it happened at about 3 p.m. at the intersection of West Main and North First streets.
Upon arrival, police said they found a man, about 50 years old, lying in the street.
He was suffering from a head injury and injuries to his upper torso.
His name has not yet been released.
Police said the operator of the car, identified as 19-year-old Ismael Ramos, was traveling east on West Main Street when the man was struck.
