Planned Parenthood activists gathered on the New Haven green on Tuesday night for what was being called the National Pink Out Day.
It was meant to show solidarity as Planned Parenthood fights to keep its funding, in Washington D.C.
Rallies were held, highlighting the stories of those who have been most affected by defunding of Planned Parenthood, a press release said.
"On Pink Out Day, we stand together across the country to make it clear to extremist politicians in Washington that women and men in CT and RI support the critical health care that Planned Parenthood has continued to provide for nearly a century," the release said.
New Haven Mayor Toni Harp attended the rally.
