HARTFORD, CT (WFSB/AP) -

A 27-year-old Hartford mother is facing charges in connection with the death this summer of her 1-year-old son.

Tamara Santana appeared in court on Friday with a warrant charging her with second-degree manslaughter, reckless endangerment and criminally negligent homicide.

Santana is already being held on $50,000 bail on unrelated charges and could not be reached for comment.

On Friday, the judge set her bond at $600,000.

Authorities responded to Santana's home on July 16 for reports of an unresponsive baby in a bathtub. By the time they arrived, the parents had already taken the baby, identified as Antonio Armando Delgado Jr., to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead four days later.

This isn't Santana's first run-in with the law. Her history was brought up in court on Friday, and includes violation of probation and threatening.

The exact cause of death remains under investigation.
