An early morning fire in East Hartford has left two families with no where to stay Sunday.
Firefighters were called to the home on Tolland Street around 3 a.m. after callers reported a fire in the home.
When fire crews arrived they found flames coming from the attic of the multi-family home.
All the residents of the building were able to get out safely, officials said. Nine people in total, including children, were displaced from the home.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
