Volunteers are being south for next month's Connecticut Veteran's Parade in Hartford.
The parade, which is scheduled for November 8, is being called the largest veteran's event in New England.
Organizers are urging veterans, active military personnel and marching bands to register to march in the parade.
This year's grand marshals are Joseph Perkins of Niantic, a retired Connecticut Army National Guard Brigadier General and Marine Corp veteran, Orlando Anderson of Manchester, an Army veteran and National Guard Member, Navy veteran Emily Trudeau of Cheshire, Air Force and Navy veteran Kristopher Perry of Storrs and Marine Corps veteran Paul Segarra of Berlin.
