ANSONIA, CT (WFSB) -

Police have charged a man accused in an Ansonia shooting that happened in August.

The shooting happened on Aug. 5 on North Main Street at the corner of Fourth Street.

Police charged Kevin Boyd on Thursday and charged him with first-degree assault, criminal use of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, first-degree reckless endangerment, and unlawful discharge of a firearm.

The victim was identified as 21-year-old Carneggy Lamothe of Bridgeport, who was shot in the torso and suffered serious injuries.

Boyd was held on a $250,000.
