Then at the Wadsworth Atheneum at 7:30 p.m., runners can check out Transcend, a new film featuring the world’s greatest marathon runners.
On Friday, the expo continues. Race packet pickup also continues from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. It’s runners’ last chance to get their numbers.
A host of symposiums are also scheduled for racers, including Matters of the Heart, Muscles and Marathons, Heat and Hydration and Running Pain Free.
The day caps off with a 6 p.m. pasta supper at The Hartford Club.
Race day is Saturday and kicks off with gear check at Bushnell Park. Runners can check their gear starting at 6 a.m.
All three races begin at 8 a.m. The wheelchair start time is 7:55 a.m. The starting line for the marathon and half marathon is on Capitol Avenue and Washington Street. The 5k starts at Buckingham and Washington Streets.
The HMF FitKids Run is slated for 9:30 a.m. at Elm Street and Pulaski Circle in Bushnell Park.
Race organizers said there will be 35 bands along the course with live music to keep runners moving.
