STORRS, CT (WFSB) -

Luke Gatti, the University of Connecticut student prominently featured in a viral video where he went on a profanity-laced rant about being denied macaroni and cheese posted an apology video.

The video was posted on YouTube on Sunday, and shows Gatti, 19, sitting in front of a camera apologizing for the incident.

In the video he apologizes to "all the staff involved in my incident, especially the manager," who he says was just doing his job. He also apologizes to the students at UConn.

"No one deserves to be treated that way," Gatti said in the video, referring to the way he acted toward the student union manager who tried to make Gatti leave.

Last week, Gatti was captured on camera complaining to a UConn cafeteria manager about not being served bacon jalapeño mac and cheese.

Gatti allegedly entered the dining hall with an open container of alcohol, according to the cafeteria manager in the video.

In the video, Gatti is seen yelling profanity, and even shoved the manager.

At that point, a third employee secured Gatti on the ground. He and the manager could he heard saying "stay down until police arrive."

A UConn officer eventually came into view and handcuffed Gatti at the end of the video.

"When I watched the video, a few days later, I couldn't even believe that was me," Gatti said in the recent apology video, titled "Drunk UConn Student Apology Mac and Cheese," on YouTube.

Students at the university have started fundraisers for the employees impacted by the incident.
