Police respond to shooting in Hartford

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

A shooting was reported in Hartford Tuesday morning.

Police said it happened in the area of Airport Road and Wethersfield Avenue.

The said they were called to the scene just before 6 a.m.

The 27-year-old victim reportedly lives in the area. His identity has not been released.

Police said drugs were involved.

The victim suffered a single gunshot wound and was transported to Hartford Hospital. He's in serious but stable condition.

The department's major crimes unit and shooting task force are both investigating.
