WATERFORD, CT (WFSB) -

An arrest has been made following a deadly crash that happened on I-95 in Waterford one year ago.

The crash, which involved a tractor trailer, claimed the lives of two young children, 9-year-old Sanaa Reynolds and 3-year-old Dacari Robinson.

Darin Robinson, 26, was also killed in the crash.

State police said a tractor-trailer slammed into their car and two other vehicles while traffic was slowed for other crashes. It happened near Exit 82 on the southbound side.

Sanaa's mother, 25-year-old Baughnita Leary, was driving the car and was injured.

On Oct. 13, police arrested 59-year-old Gerard Dube, of Massachusetts, who was driving the tractor trailer that hit Leary’s car and two others.

Dube was not injured in the crash.

He was charged with misconduct with a motor vehicle, reckless driving, following too close, operating a commercial motor vehicle with an expired medical card, and operating a commercial motor vehicle with a defective ABS sensor light.

He is expected to appear in court on Oct. 29.
