Trains along the shoreline were delayed after a person was struck and killed by a train in Branford.
Branford police said the person was struck in the area of Point Pleasant Road on Wednesday evening at about 8 p.m.
Shore Line East said all trains in the area were experiencing a delay in service. Some passengers used a bus to get around the scene.
Amtrak and Branford police are investigating, however Eyewitness News was told the train involved in the incident was not an Amtrak train.
