HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

A vigil will be held for the couple involved in an apparent murder-suicide in Hartford from earlier this week.

Family members and friends will gather on Broad Street on Thursday night after the bodies of 48-year-old Ramon Villa, and 38-year-old Reyna Villa were found inside their third-floor apartment on Monday afternoon.

Both individuals were found with gunshot wounds to their heads, and a shotgun was located inside of the apartment.

While police were waiting for the medical examiner to confirm the cause of death, police said it appears to be a domestic situation and presents itself as a murder-suicide.

Neighbors in the area said the couple owns the Salcedo Grocery store on Broad Street, and that they have two children who were not home at the time of the shooting.

The vigil will be held outside the market around 6 p.m.
