18 arrested in Hartford undercover drug operation

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

A day after making more than a dozen drug-related arrests in Hartford, police added 18 more to that tally.

They said the police department’s vice and narcotics unit along with other officers, continued to conduct an undercover narcotics operation on Franklin Avenue.

Police said the operation was in response to a number of complaints about drug sales in the area.

Through surveillance, they identified prospective buyers and sellers.

They said they confiscated nearly 1,400 bags of heroin, 87 bags of powder cocaine, 16 bags of PCP, a 3 ounce vial of liquid PCP and more than $5,000 in cash.

Narcotics packaging material was also taken.

The following people were charged:

  • Roger Moody, 32, of Hartford, third-degree criminal trespass
  • Mark Nance, 34, of Hartford, third-degree criminal trespass
  • James Wnuk, 24, of Berlin, third-degree criminal trespass
  • Irvin Rivera, 38, of Hartford, third-degree criminal trespass
  • Kerry Scanlan, 19, of Avon, third-degree criminal trespass
  • Miguel Rodriguez, 46, of New Britain, third-degree criminal trespass
  • Luis Lugo, 33, of Hartford, third-degree criminal trespass and possession of a hallucinogen
  • Matthew Deprey, 18, of Bristol, third-degree criminal trespass
  • Thomas Kobieroski, 44, of Plainville, third-degree criminal trespass
  • Brittany Vargas, 26, of Hartford, third-degree criminal trespass
  • Tasha Delgado, 28, of Hartford, third-degree criminal trespass
  • Vanessa Nixon, 20, of Colchester, third-degree criminal trespass
  • Nicholas Digioia, 44, of Hartford, possession of narcotics
  • Nicole Raboin, 23, of Bristol, possession of narcotics
  • Mario Trapanese, 38, of Terryville, possession of narcotics
  • Adam Pinette, 35, of Torrington, possession of narcotics
  • Michael Reynolds, 52, of Middletown, possession of narcotics and third-degree criminal trespass
  • Antonio Quental, 37, of Newington, possession of narcotics and third-degree criminal trespass

Thursday, police said they arrested 15 people as part of a similar operation in the city's north end.
