Motorcyclist killed in late night Torrington crash

TORRINGTON, CT (WFSB) -

A motorcyclist was killed in late night crash in Torrington.

According to state police, 25-year-old Thomas Allan Keeler, Jr., of Danbury, was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle on Route 8.

Troopers said it happened in the left lane on the northbound side of the highway just after 11:30 p.m. on Monday.

They said it's not yet known what caused Keeler to lose control of his bike.

He veered into a concrete bridge rail near exit 44 and was ejected onto the southbound shoulder.

Keeler was transported to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced dead.

Troopers said the case remains under investigation.
