HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -
Two men were sent to the hospital and one is in critical condition after shooting in Hartford on Wednesday night.
The shooting took place in the area of 7 Cherry Street around 10:15 p.m.
Officers found a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the torso and 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head.
Police said 23-year-old man is in critical condition while the 19-year-old man is stable condition with a non-life-threatening injury. Both men were taken to St. Francis Hospital with the 23-year-old man going by ambulance and the 19-year-old man by private vehicle.
Police have not released the victims’ names, but said they are not from the Cherry Street neighborhood.
The shooting is under investigation by the Hartford police major crimes unit and the shooting taskforce.
