Woman accused of forging info to get oxycodone prescription

SOUTHINGTON, CT (WFSB) -

A woman from West Haven is accused of forging information to receive prescription pills from a pharmacy in Southington.

Police said Tameka Allen, 36, tried to fill a prescription for oxycodone at the Walgreen's Pharmacy on Main Street.

The incident happened on June 2.

The name on the prescription was in the name of another person.

Police said the pharmacist never filled the order.

They said on June 4, the pharmacy received confirmation that the prescription was fraudulent.

Allen was arrested on Oct. 24

She was charged with second-degree forgery and criminal attempt/obtaining a controlled substance by fraud.

Allen is due in Bristol Superior Court on Nov. 2.
