VERNON, CT (WFSB) -

State police said they located a tractor trailer believed to be involved in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate-84 in Vernon that left a driver in serious condition.

Troopers said the truck was found at the Travel Authority Truck Stop in Southington approximately four hours after the crash.

They said the vehicle had damage consistent with having been involved in the crash that happened on I-84 westbound near between exits 64 and 64 on Tuesday morning. The incident shut down that side of the highway for a few hours.

Troopers identified the tractor trailer driver as 45-year-old Dennis Razis of Massachusetts.

They said the driver of the victim's car was 33-year-old Kane Jellison of Tolland. He was rushed to St. Francis Hospital in Hartford following the crash.

Jellison remained hospitalized as of Wednesday morning.

Troopers did not say whether Razis would face any charges.

Their investigation continues.
