Route 79 in Madison reopens after tree, power lines fall

MADISON, CT (WFSB) -

A downed tree and power lines had Route 79 in Madison completely closed for several hours on Wednesday.

Officials set up detours and warned drivers to avoid the area.

The road closure was reported at about 4:30 p.m. and as of 10 p.m. the road had since reopened.

It is unclear if any injuries were reported.
