Despite a rainy start to Thursday, firefighters battled a fire in Winsted that left a few of them with some injuries.
Dispatchers said firefighters were called to a home on Boyd Street around 5 a.m.
When they arrived, they found a lot of flames.
Boyd Street was closed at Hubbard Street while crews worked to get the fire under control.
A couple of firefighters were hurt fighting the blaze, but the injuries were said to be minor.
The majority of the fire was knocked down around 5:30 a.m., but crews remained on scene to check for hot spots.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Firefighters said the fire marshal has not yet begun the investigation.
Officials said the home had been vacant for several years.
