A Connecticut animal organization is spreading the word about a dog that was thrown from a moving motor vehicle in Hartford on Thursday.
“Luckily he was not hurt and from what the woman said that saw it happen, said he just rolled like a ball. Beside the heart wrenching reality that a human did this to him,” Renee DiNino posted on her Renee's Rescue Round-Up.
The “senior dog” is currently in the care of Connecticut Shelter Dogs. DiNino said the 14-year-old dog, which was blind, had few teeth.
“He was so severely matted and his toe nails so long they went about 2 inches past his feet,” DiNino said.
After being evaluated by a veterinarian, DiNino took him to the groomers.
“From the second I met him, he was full of kisses,” DiNino said.
DiNino said she is hoping that someone will adopt this “senior dog.” Anyone interested in adopting him is asked to email email@example.com.
