A 20-year-old man from the Plantsville section of Southington was arrested for stealing metal parts from a property back in September.
Police said Jonathan Siarkowski turned himself in to Southington police on Sunday after learning there were active arrest warrants out.
Officers said they began investigating on Sept. 17 when Siarkowski was arrested for allegedly stealing aluminum joists from a property located on Buckland Street.
As the investigation continued, police said investigators found that on Sept. 15 and 16, Siarkowski and another person took similar aluminum to a scrap yard and received cash payments for it. That value in those cases was approximately $2,048.
Police said another arrest in the case is expected.
