Voters in New Haven said they were standing in line for a long time waiting to cast their ballot on Tuesday evening.
Some voters told Eyewitness News that they were waiting for at least an hour to vote at the library on Elm Street.
According to one voter, the lines were not as bad as last year but they wished they had more poll workers.
"It was really frustrating. I think especially frustrating for people that live here that aren't students. They're gonna be living here while we leave and they should have more of a say," voter Sofia Braunstein. "So I think that's especially frustrating for me."
It is unclear if there was a technical error causing the delays. A poll worker said they worked as quickly as possible to deal with demand during peak hours.
There were 705 people, who voted at the library.
