The seventh annual Coats for Connecticut collection kicks off Friday at all Best Cleaners locations throughout the state as it helps keep the state warm.
Connecticut residents are being asked to drop off gently-used coats and warm clothing at any Best Cleaners locations throughout the state. The employees at Best Cleaners will dry clean them and donate them to local Salvation Army centers.
"All the coats that come in will be cleaned, processed just like any other garment and then distributed to the Salvation Army," Best Cleaners President Shawn McCain said.
The clothing will be collected and disturbed throughout the state from November to Jan. 4.

WFSB’s Nicole Nalepa visited Best Cleaners in Glastonbury on Friday morning to help promote this event.
"It's nice to be able to know that someone else is benefiting from them as well," Lynn Cumberton-Locke, of Manchester, said.
