Pedestrian killed on Berlin Turnpike identified by police

BERLIN, CT (WFSB) -

A pedestrian struck and killed on the Berlin Turnpike Thursday night has been identified by police.

They said 56-year-old Lisa D'Addario of Berlin was walking on the road when she was struck by a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Samantha Pelow.

D'Addario was transported by ambulance to Hartford Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

An accident reconstruction crew is helping with the investigation, according to police.

Eyewitnesses saw what happened and Pelow is cooperating with investigators. No charges have been filed.
