A Verizon outage knocked out phone service to the Department of Motor Vehicles call center Saturday morning.
DMV spokesperson Bill Seymour said the outage was reported around 7:30 a.m. and was causing anyone who attempts to call the phone center to get a busy signal.
According to Seymour, Verizon said a circuit issue is causing the outage impacting the DMV.
Crews were able to fix the issue and restore phone service around 10:30 a.m. , Seymour said.
According to Seymour, during the weekend the phone center is just recorded information that will advise customers on hours, locations or needed documents. Seymour said much of that information is also located on the DMV website and advises customers use it whenever possible.
