A 25-year-old man from New York is in critical condition after police said he was shot three times in Stamford over the weekend.
Officers were called to a report of a man shot multiple times in the area of 84 Myano La around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Upon arrival, police said they found an unidentified man from White Plains, N.Y. suffering from gunshot wounds to his torso, left arm and left leg.
The man was rushed to Stamford Hospital where police said he is in critical, but stable condition.
During their investigation, police determined that an unidentified 34-year-old Stamford resident was talking with the victim when another man came from behind a tree and “ambushed the victim with gunfire.”
The suspects ran off after the shooting, according to police.
The shooting was captured on video, which is being reviewed by police and expected to be released later on Monday.
Police said the suspects maybe in possession of a revolver and should be considered armed and dangerous. No members of the public should approach them.
If you spot them or have any information about the shooting, you are asked to call the Stamford Police Department detective bureau at 203-977-4417. Police said all tips will be kept confidential.
