Thanksgiving is just two weeks away, and anyone looking for a “standout” holiday table this season can find it in Connecticut.
The Connecticut Valley Garden Club is hosting its 5th Set to Celebrate event.
The private Town and Country Club on Woodland Street is hosting the table-setting event, where room after room will feature top-of-the-line design ideas for the holiday.
"It's bigger and better and more creative every year - it's - the designers really step it up year to year,” said Joanne Eudy, of the Connecticut Valley Garden Club. "Most of our designers come back year after year but we always open it up to new designers every year."
Some settings are more traditional, while others are more “Coco,” as in Chanel.
"You want to think as she would've thought and do everything that would basically do her very, very proud. My goodness, Chanel is probably one of my favorite designers,” said Interior Designer Bruce Valicenti.
He is an interior designer who turned his holiday table into a tribute to his leading lady of fashion, and not just his table, but every table features fresh flowers.
"Everything has to be real,” he said.
Set to Celebrate will have plenty of ideas for party planners on any budget, and there is even a tag sale for shoppers.
The show is open to the public and it opens on Friday and runs through Saturday.
