A Bridgeport man was arrested for public indecency after police said he was watching a girl shower and touching himself on Thursday.
Besides public indecency charges, police charged 35-year-old Rickardo Rhoden with second-degree breach of peach and third-degree trespassing.
His arrest comes after a report of an assault in the area of Beechwood and Laurel avenues. Upon arrival, an unknown man told police that Rhoden was staring at his girlfriend’s daughter in their bathroom.
The man, who was sleeping at the time, said his girlfriend yelled to him and he ran to his front porch to see if anyone was outside.
Rhoden, who was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and khaki pants, was seen masturbating and looking inside the bathroom window, according to police.
After the man yelled at Rhoden, the suspect ran off. The man got into his car and followed Rhoden until he caught him on Laurel Avenue.
The man continued to chase Rhoden on foot and until he caught him at Beechwood Avenue.
When officers arrived, the two men were holding each other by the collars of their shirts.
After police talked to the man’s girlfriend, she confirmed the actions of Rhoden and police arrested him.
Officers located a cinder block on the ground, which police said the suspect used “to get a better view into the window.’
Rhoden is being held on a $5,000 bond.
