SIMSBURY, CT (WFSB) -

FBI evidence investigators and Simsbury police said they returned to the scene of a murder on Tuesday morning.

It will be a year on Friday since mother of two and MassMutual insurance executive Melissa Millan was found stabbed to death along Iron Horse Boulevard.

The road and nearby Rotary Park were closed again on Tuesday. Investigators first shut both down on Monday as part of a planned search.

A suspect still has yet to be named. A motive remains unknown. The hope is that investigators will find something at the scene of the crime.

Neighbors said they hope some kind of evidence is found that will finally lead to a break in the case.

"I hope that they catch whoever did this to this poor woman," said Nancy Bernier of Simsbury. "She has children, and I'm a mother of three, so I can understand what they're going through."

Eyewitness News has learned that the FBI will continue its investigation until Thursday or Friday.
