Two men were found shot to death inside a car at an apartment complex in Hamden.

Police said the discovery was made on Tuesday at the Broadmoor apartment complex's parking lot on Mix Avenue, which is just off of the Wilbur Cross Parkway.

Police said the double homicide was called in by a neighbor on Tuesday afternoon.

On Wednesday, the medical examiner determined that both individuals were shot in the head, and both deaths were ruled a homicide.

One individual has been identified, however his identity has not been released. The second victim has not yet been identified.

Some people told investigators that they heard gunshots on Monday night.

"If you hear something, if you see something please call us, please say something," said Chief Thomas Wydra, Hamden police. "We might have been able to commence this investigation much earlier than this afternoon."

Family members told Eyewitness News that they were devastated after they learned what happened. One woman needed to be hospitalized from becoming too emotional.

Suspects have also not been named.

Hamden police said anyone with any information should contact them at (203) 230-4040.
