Package thieves caught on camera in Bristol

Posted: Updated:

Packages are being stolen right from doorsteps in a Bristol neighborhood in broad light and for one homeowner, he caught the thief on camera.

Eyewitness News went to the home of WIlson Cursino on Wednesday. His outdoor cameras aren't hidden and the station noticed them.

Cursino released surveillance video of a woman grabbing two packages from his Bristol home. The packages were stolen by the front and the garage doors.

Cursino said he got an alert from Fed-Ex and UPS that his packages were delivered Monday afternoon. But when he got home, he said nothing was there.

“Then I went to my camera and they delivered, so then I'm like where did the package went? And I saw the lady grabbing the packages,” Cursino said.

The video is crystal clear and a viewer can see the silver 4-door car pull into the driveway, right up to the garage door.

The passenger gets out grabs one box, which was sitting at the garage, and throws it in the car.  Then, the video shows her walking to the front door and grabbing a second package, which was delivered two hours prior.

“A mix of feeling, someone is evading your privacy or your house. I've never saw that,” Cursino said.

Cursino called police and filed a report.  Police are now looking into it and have gotten some serious tips.

“I hope they can find her, so we can put an end on those things,” Cursino said. “This isn't supposed to happen here, especially this time of year.”

Cursino said if the thief opened up the packages, she'd be disappointed because he bought a shower curtain and a work phone. But, she won't be able to use it.

If you've had something stolen, you're asked to file a police report.

If you know who this woman is, you are asked to call the Bristol Police Department at 860-584-3011.
