"Just up the street, there's a junior high, and there's a lot of young girls in this area,"Milford resident Marlien Bonilla said. [There's] a lot of spots and it's a quiet neighborhood, so it's extremely disturbing."
The first incident allegedly happened on Nov. 15 around 6 p.m. in the area of Beach Avenue and Chapel Street. The man reportedly wore a leather jacket.
The second took place on Nov. 16 around 4 p.m. near Grant Street, according to police. The man was seen in an older model four-door dark-colored vehicle before the incident happened.
Police described him as a man between the ages of 25 and 35, having a slender build, standing 5'6" to 6' tall and weighing between 150 to 175 pounds.
With a threat right on their doorsteps, parents said they are reinforcing those talks they've had for years with their children.
“I hate that it's happening in my neighborhood,” Milford resident Tim Carroll said. “I've been talking to my girls to make sure no one is walking alone.”
Police will continue to patrol these neighborhoods, but are asking residents for help.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Milford Police Department at (203) 878-6551 or (203)877-1465.
