HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

State leaders plan on meeting Tuesday in an attempt to hammer out a budget shortfall plan.

Democrats and Republicans both acknowledged the $350 million shortfall, which is according to projections.

Legislative leaders already met with Gov. Dannel Malloy for more than an hour on Monday.

When it was over, they did not release details.

They said they were hoping to hold a special session before Christmas.

Earlier this fall, Malloy announced $102 million in budget rescissions that affected Executive Branch agencies and the Judicial Branch.
