A retired Wethersfield firefighter pulled from a house after a fire earlier this month has died, officials stated.
Crews arrived to heavy flames coming from the home of Keron Larkin on Brimfield Avenue in Wethersfield on Nov. 18
Larkin was found in the living room and unconscious. It took three firefighters to pull Larkin out of the home. He was rushed to the hospital. However, fire officials said Larkin died this week.
The pain of the tragic loss of Mr. Larkin, a long time Wethersfield resident and former Wethersfield firefighter, will be felt by every member of the Department and the entire community. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Larkin family during this time of great sadness,” the Wethersfield Fire Department said in a statement on Tuesday.
Larkin retired from the fire department in the early 1970s.
His wife was already outside when firefighters got to the home, which sustained significant damage.
