Police Departments in Connecticut as well as Florida are getting inundated with calls about a picture of a duct taped dog on Facebook.

A post on Facebook has gone viral of a picture of a dog whose muzzle was duct taped shut and a message saying, "This is what happens when you don't shut up!!!" The account of the woman who posted it say that the woman lives in South Daytona, Florida.

That post has been shared 278,834 times as of Saturday afternoon.

Police in Avon and Torrington have been overrun by calls claiming the woman lives in one of those towns.

Avon Police said that they went to an address that she had lived at, but she hasn't lived there for some time. Torrington Police also said that the incident didn't happen in Torrington and she isn't believed to live there.

South Daytona Police posted on their Facebook page that the woman has not lived in South Daytona for over one year. Their post said in part, "This appears to have occurred in Avon, CT where she currently live, although the address posted by many people is not her current address. SDPD investigator is turning this case over to AVON authorities."

This post has been causing issues for the Avon Police Department. The department said that the "miss information is causing a serious strain on our dispatch center."

Police are still working to track down the woman that posted this picture and no arrests have been made at this time. The woman who posted the picture will not be named at this time because of the ongoing investigation.
