Handguns, valuables snatched in Milford burglary

MILFORD, CT (WFSB) -

Handguns, jewelry and mint coin sets were snatched in a Milford home burglary on Thursday.

Police said someone pried their way into a rear door of a home on West Rutland Road.

They said it happened between 6:25 p.m. and 9 p.m.

The suspect or suspects ransacked the master bedroom. Police said they took a pillowcase filled with jewelry, Italian gold, mint coin sets from the 1960s, silver certificate currency and a Sentry fire safe. Within the safe were two guns, a .38 revolver and a .25 semi-automatic. The makes and models were unknown.
