A 20-year old man is recovering in the hospital this morning and police are attempting to identify a shooter in Bristol.
Bristol police said they were called to the area of Center Street near Summer Street just before 1 a.m. Saturday after a passerby said a man was on the side of the roadway near the railroad tracks and he had been shot.
Police located the victim, identified as Travis Hapgood, suffering from a gunshot wound to his hip.
Hapgood was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Hartford were he underwent surgery and is listed in stable condition.
Police said Hapgood has not assisted them with information surrounding the shooting and they do not have any suspects at this time.
