A person was struck and killed by a Metro-North train early Tuesday morning.
According to Metropolitan Transportation Authority officials, the person was trespassing on the tracks west of the Milford station when the strike happened.
Train service was briefly delayed and about 40 passengers had to board another train. They arrived at their destination about 90 minutes late, the MTA said.
The train was traveling from Grand Central Station in New York at the time of the incident, which was reported to have happened around 1:50 a.m.
Service was back to normal in the area in time for the morning commute.
Investigators are looking into the case.
