Just in time for the holidays, one town's Chamber of Commerce has released a calendar it hopes gets town businesses a little more "exposure."

Men from a number of Glastonbury's businesses are literally baring it all to help the chamber out.

As the owner of Katz Ace Hardware in town, Bob Krieger said he's more used to dealing with power tools than photo props.

When the Chamber of Commerce asked him to be part of this year's calendar, he said he got right to work.

"I went through the store and I'm like 'ok, what are we going to block ourselves with here and there,'" Krieger said. "And we just started picking up different things."

The result was the men of March 2017.

"We were out there in the cold Sunday morning with people beeping at us going by for probably a good hour," Krieger said.

This year marks the second time business leaders put together The Men of Glastonbury Chamber Calendar.

Local photographers donated time to take the photos. Then, businesses had to buy a page like they would an advertisement.

"Whether people object to it, or think its just good fun, it's great advertising," said Julie Tracey, Katz Ace Hardware. "People talk about these pictures for months and months, and these are smart business people who know they're going to get far more of their money's worth than they paid to be in the calendar."

The money from the calendar goes toward events like the Apple Harvest Festival and Riverfront Music Series.

Fairly new shops like the Clean N Green Laundromat hope it'll drum up business.

For those who know some of the men pictured, it makes for some good material.

"We have like a year of jokes, and making fun of them," Tracey said. "I think it's so funny."

The calendar is available for purchase at the Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber said there has been some controversy regarding the calendar's cover because it features a little boy standing along side his father. However, members said it was never intended to be misinterpreted in a negative light.
