STRATFORD, CT (WFSB) -

More information is being released in the sex assault case involving a Stratford teacher’s aide.

According to court documents, the inappropriate relationship lasted more than two years.

The investigation began back in the summer when the teen told a therapist he cheated on his girlfriend with her own mother.

At the time, both the teen and Kyle Damato-Kushel denied the relationship...but police say the victim came clean after being accused of breaking into her house."

The 45-year-old mother is a former teacher’s aide at Stratford’s Wooster Middle School and is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy.

"It’s sad to hear that something like that happening at your kid’s school,” said Liane Rose.

The teen told police he would go to Damato-Kushel’s house and have sex with her almost nightly, and always entered through an unlocked window, and leaving around 4:30 a.m. because that is when her husband would wake up for work.

In October, when Damato-Kushel’s husband found the teen in the house, it was reported as a break in, and when police started to investigate, the teen started talking.

According to court documents, “the victim stated the first time they had sexual contact was in the summer after 7th grade (2013) and Kyle performed oral sex on him in her basement. They always had unprotected sex and the victim said Kyle was pregnant by him once.”

The teen is currently a high school sophomore and told police that Damato-Kushel had a miscarriage.

Police said there were text messages between the two with the teen even alleging that she bought him clothes and even a cell phone, and that once police and DCF started investigating “the victim said Kyle previously told him to open an account online so she could put money in it and pay him $900 to recant his story about them being sexually involved.”

As soon as the allegations surfaced, Damato-Kushel was removed from the classroom.

She was fired in November and is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
