A woman is wanted for an armed robbery at a convenience store in Bolton.

State police said they were sent to Bolton Gulf on Boston Turnpike just before 10 p.m. on Sunday.

They learned that the woman entered the store, confronted the click with a switchblade knife and demanded money from the register.

The suspect moved to climb on top of the counter, at which point troopers said the clerk retrieved a registered firearm.

The woman quickly climbed back down and left.

State police said no shots were fired and no one was hurt. The suspect also left without any money.

She was described as standing 5'4" tall with a thin build. She was wearing a dark-colored hat, camouflage-style pants, a blue scar and a green boonie hat/fishing-type cap. The knife was a switchblade with a white handle.

Anyone with information was asked to call state police at 860-465-5400.
