A little girl's brother has been deployed, but on Wednesday night, the magic of Christmas will grant her a wish.
Seven-year-old Charlotte Kempfer has one thing on her Christmas list
Santa asked Charlotte Kempfer what would she wanted for Christmas this year.
“For my brother to come home,” Charlotte Kempfer said.
On Wednesday night, Charlotte’s wish came true at the Crystal Mall.
“I don't think she had any idea,” Ben Kempfer said.
When her big brother Ben Kempfer left four months ago to train as an aviation structural mechanic, Charlotte Kempfer said she was devastated.
Their parents stepped in to give both their children a memorable Christmas. They worked side-by-side with Santa’s elves. Ben Kempfer hid behind Santa’s chair and surprised Charlotte Kempfer after telling Santa what she really wanted
“Everyone is kind overwhelmed at this point,” her father Carl Kempfer said. “The most touching thing about this for me is she's only seven and instead of asking for toys she's been asking for her brother.”
Carl Kempfer said his wife put the whole surprise together, all just to show others that family is what Christmas is all about
“There's still a lot of good around, family is most to her and that's great,” Carl Kempfer said.
Ben Kempfer must go back to boot camp in Florida in just a few days, but just enough time to spend with family
